TREES FOR LIFE: NFA & LIL PLANT 5,000

In a groundbreaking collaboration, the National Forestry Authority (NFA) and Luwero Industries Limited (LIL) have come together to launch an ambitious tree-planting initiative in Nakasongola. The project aims to plant 5,000 trees, significantly enhancing the region’s green cover and contributing to the country’s sustainability goals.

The event was attended by esteemed guests, including the Acting Executive Director of NFA, Stuart Maniraguha, and Major General Sabiiti Muzeyi, General Manager of LIL. Maniraguha emphasized the vital importance of trees in sustaining life, while Muzeyi highlighted their critical role in maintaining environmental health.

The 5,000 trees will help mitigate climate change, preserve biodiversity, prevent soil erosion, and support local communities. As they grow, they will serve as a reminder of the power of collaboration and the importance of protecting our planet for future generations. The NFA and LIL partnership sets a shining example for others to follow, demonstrating that together, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against environmental degradation.
