BUKENYA APPOINTED BY H.E MUSEVENI AS ENVIRONMENT AND SANITATION

Prof. Gilbert Bukenya: From owning a 26-acre forest land in Wakiso, appearing before the environmental committee of parliament advocation for the conservation of forest, to being among those who spoke strongly about the reservation of Mabira forest, to Now Presidential advisor on Environment and sanitation.

President Museveni through his press Unit announced the appointment of the former Vice president in his government Prof. Gilbert Bukenya as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Environment and Sanitation.

The statement which #ECOMEDIA saw reads in part “The Presidential Press Unit (PPU) wishes to inform the general public that H.E. the President of the Republic of Uganda, Gen. (Rtd.)  Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed H.E. Prof. Gilbert Bukenya as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Environment and Sanitation,”.

Bukenya a professional Doctor and Ugandan politician was the seventh Vice President of Uganda from May 23, 2003, until May 23, 2011. He also represented the constituency of Busiro County North in the Ugandan Parliament.
